My role
I help clients with their fixed income needs, primarily as the Portfolio Manager of the Kipling Strategic Income Fund.

What I enjoy about work
There are very few industries as dynamic as capital markets. There are always new businesses and industries to learn about, not to mention macroeconomics, geopolitics and countless other factors and influences. No day is ever boring.

How I got here
I earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and won the Silver Medal as the top Finance student in my graduating class. I have been a CFA® charterholder since 2003.

I’ve worked in the treasury department of two of the largest corporations in Canada as well as at one of the largest investment dealers and have observed the fixed income issuance process from both of those perspectives. I spent almost a decade as an equity research associate and analyst, and I have been a portfolio manager since 2013.

What I do outside of work
I enjoy traveling and the outdoors.

We often overestimate the change that will occur in the next two years and underestimate the change that will occur in the next ten years.
